How's ORD or DEN looking for a new hire? Asking for a friend of mine who is going there. Fwiw, he's doing the seniority reservation deal for 90 days, so he'll be hitting the line with 6ish months of seniority I guess.

Sorry, I've been on vacation this week. ORD is a hit and miss right now. DCA just opened up, so a lot of new hires are going there. But if he is in the seniority program. He should be able to get Ord without going to DC.

Anything new about TSA? Increase in pay? New bases? Anything that a new hire should be aware of that the recruitment team may not tell me?

I interviewed and accepted the offer into the R2W program a few weeks ago. I will be joining the SRP in January then off to finish my FW training. I’m excited to start 121 training and grateful that TSA is fronting the money for my FW training but my biggest concern is I will be commuting from ATL or even CHA. I want RDU as a base if I can hold it out of training but I also want a somewhat easy commute. It looks like if I commute out of ATL my options of a one leg commute is limited. CHA would probably always be two legs unless I went to ORD as a base.

I’m humble and ready to learn so please feel free to give me your opinion!!

No, to the first question, no to second question, and not really to third question(dca is shared with Dulles now).

And with regards to rdu, you'll probably never see it. RDU is shrinking with the opening of the DCA base. Wouldn't be surprised if it closes in a few years.

Thanks for that about RDU! That’s not even remotely close to what I was told about going to RDU. I was told with SRP I should be able to go to RDU either right out of IOE or two months max. Then should hold a line within 5-6 months. So I guess that was a case of “Tell him what he wants to hear”! So even with SRP I’ll probably be DCA based?

Thanks again!!

Welcome to every TSH airline, where everything is made up and the truth doesn't matter.

Takes about 1.5 years to hold a line in RDU. Looking at the transfer roster. There is a FO that been here since June that hasn't transfer to rdu from iad. I see some other FO that hasn't transferred to rdu as well.

So most new hires are going to DCA? What’s the junior base after DCA? What’s attrition looking like? Is there actual movement or is the bottom of the list where most are leaving?

Pretty much all new hires go to IAD/DCA. Faster movement there, so you can hold a line quicker. Losing pilots around 6 a month, so not looking good for growth. And both, about 50/50 leaving.

Thanks for the help! I do appreciate it.
