Bad pilot etiquette?

So what is bad etiquette when setting up the cockpit for the next pilot? Papers all over, seatbelts crunched on the side? I had a pilot that always silenced the radio volumes, kind of annoying. Anybody have any horror stories?

At my old job there was a guy who either had a terrible headset or wore earplugs underneath. Every time he handed over a plane the radio and intercom would be at full volume. I about needed new pants a few times.

You adjust the audio panel when you adjust the seat. That way there are no surprises.

Lots of food wrappers, used tissues, and my biggest pet peeve is people leaving the seat as high and as far forward as it goes.

Not a 121 pilot. But I've read stuff here and other places over the years, about pilots leaving their dip cup in the cockpit when deplaning. Yuck.

Leaving the seat in its highest vertical adjustment. Why would you do that? I know who you are. There's gonna be hand lotion on the back of the tiller and the yoke when you take my plane.

I've flown with people who chew, one guy brought a large water bottle along and used it for the... Ugh... Remnants. For the whole 4 day.

Just thinking about it is making me gag.

But neither of those affect me. A dipping FO can FO. That's phantom pooper level disgusting.

I don't have a problem with the dipping itself, honestly.

But don't spit into a clear water bottle and carry it with you for 4 days.

I was lucky. I don't think there was a time where much was amiss.

Taking the airplane to the Central Valley to practice approaches or touch and goes, and failing to wash off the 1/4” of bug debris off the windscreen after you land. Not very nice to the next pilot.

I’m short, but I always move it full aft so the next pilot can climb in more easily. Especially in a Piper.

Still full aft, so that those who tower over you can get in.

Seat all the way forward and up is one, but seat all the way down to the floor too. Know a captain that twisted or sprained something getting into one and ended up being out of work for a while.
Radial volume as mentioned but I've made r a habit to put that where I want it before I put my headset on. This one I think is more mechanics, but cranking the cabin or cockpit temp all the way up or down. Just an ass thing to do.

A dipping fo doesn't effect me. If you don't like it, say something.

Shutting down the plane with a crew swap on a quick turn in the middle of summer. Use common sense people.
