So as of about an hour ago, the new contract at 9E has been almost unanimously approved by the pilot group.
I was based in NYC once.Initial award came out today too. Got awarded JFK900 CA! It’s a good day.

Will this still make it cheaper for them to provide the lift?
When ~55% of the company is under 3 years of seniority, lift is going to be cheaper no matter what you do. Even before this TA, cheap was never a word I heard thrown around in terms of the costs at 9E.

There is a lot more to the equation than just pilot salaries though. From what I've been hearing (honestly don't know the specifics), this ended up being a pay cut for some guys because they lost the bonuses. Just curious is all. Not trying to harsh on anyone's party.
Congrats on the new contract! It's great to see the industry truly turning around in the pilots favor.
Will 9E still hire a former employee and count their previous longevity?
From what the union has told us, its a very, very small percentage. I think by 86% of us voting yes means an overwhelming majority of us will see pay increases. There is a lot more to the equation than just pilot salaries though. Where are on you the list? Buddy is a Jan13 hire and it will be a few years for him I think, I think it's around 11000 now. Maybe Spring of 19 at the earliest?I hope everyone senior to me feels the same way you do about group 2 captain in nyc. For 260/hr sign me up.
This will be a paycut for around 10 people probably, and a significant pay raise for the other 1900+. Don’t believe what you read online from the loudest 5 people. Basically if you credit over 77-78 in a month it’ll be a pay raise (over the bonus). The senior guys need to credit closer to 76 for it to be a pay raise. And anything picked up out of open time is either 150% or 200%. Pretty easy to do when most line holders get 15-21 days off. At least in NYC.
He’s August 2013 and he’s a money chaserWhere are on you the list? Buddy is a Jan13 hire and it will be a few years for him I think, I think it's around 11000 now. Maybe Spring of 19 at the earliest?
