Ha, just gotta keep the LOC/GS inside the donut on the hand flown no flap ILS and do an engine out and air work and you’re pretty much right! If you can pass an instrument checkride you can pass an ATP ASEL checkride
Well done
Here’s how I envision the hand-flown ILS to 1800 rvr in the van.Congrats!!
I got mine in the Caravan.....haven't really used it but it looks good on the cert. (at least that's what I WANT to believe)![]()
Here’s how I envision the hand-flown ILS to 1800 rvr in the van.
-intercept glide slope, flaps 10, trim and power for 90 kts
-set dh bug for 200’
-take nap
-wake up when dh tone sounds
-land airplane
Fortunately in the dial-a-disaster box you can fly at any safe speed that is comfortable.Congrats!
Probably mentioned before, but I have a logbook entry with two approaches and one landing in a Van at MCO.
First approach went as you describe, up until my approach clearance got cancelled at around FAF with a 90 degree turnoff and climb instructions due to 767 behind me.
I think that was about the last approach I flew below big boys Vref.
Pretty much. At this point I’m not sure why ATPSEL is even a thing but whatevs. As to the question? That and 4 bucks will get you a coffee at Starbucks.
Congrats!
