WMD? It's a pipe bomb....
The crap we did as kids would have put me into prison in modern day.
WMD? It's a pipe bomb....
Yup, they came up with that definition in order to cover Bush/Cheney's Iraq WMDs fiasco lolThe FBI defines a WMD as anything containing more than 4 ounces of explosive.
You realize that by federal law if a union does not defend every bargaining unit employee (not just member) to the extent of its ability, no matter the offense, they face fines and decertification? NATCA does not have a choice in defending the indefensible.Once had a controller cuffed on position at ZBW for sexual deviance..... Also was on position during a mid crash at CLT and the tower controller had left to go "be with" his gf's daughter, who was severely underage.
Union protected him (which really made me rethink NATCA) because of a technicality.... Though NATCA protected him he ended up, and still is on, the sexual registry database...... Became a supervisor.
Go figure.
Yep. I once represented a pedophile who kidnapped his stepdaughter. Made me sick to my stomach, but it was my responsibility, and everyone is entitled to fair representation. He still ultimately ended up where he belonged.
Years ago a tower controller at SFO was robbing banks on the side. If I'm remembering it right.

Plus I think its important to note, it's not the FBI defining WMD's, rather US Code. Why, you ask? We need to be on the same page in criminal regards.WMD refers to materials, weapons, or devices that are intended to cause (or are capable of causing) death or serious bodily injury to a significant number of people through release, dissemination, or impact of toxic or poisonous chemicals or precursors, a disease organism, or radiation or radioactivity, including (but not limited to) biological devices, chemical devices, improvised nuclear devices, radiological dispersion devices, and radiological exposure devices.
Reminds me of my neighbor when I was a kid. He was robbing banks for years, and he was a cop. They had a grainy picture of him on the most wanted poster and his buddies used to make fun of him for looking like the guy.Years ago a tower controller at SFO was robbing banks on the side. If I'm remembering it right.

@NovemberEcho you left a little bit out:

4oz can do some damage.
The standard issue, M67 grenade has 6.5 oz of comp B. It has a kill radius of 5 m, casualty radius of 15m.
I've had shrapnel hit me from roughly 50m away.
I didn't read the details other than he's a dumbass, it depends who charges him, Federal or State. In the end it doesn't really matter I guess.
Huh... well... If the Man had any real concerns they could lump my Dog in there as well. He can clear a room with his flatulent, giving him a 3-5 meter kill zone, and about a 10 meter casualty radius. Clear the room, Ceiling Fan ON, Febreez in mass quantities!
My dogs the same. The best is when it's an audible fart. It freaks her out, and she jumps up and tries to run away from her own ass!
