SoCal 135 Turboprop Operators

If there was actually any sort of a career in turboprops, you wouldn't find me anywhere near a jet. They are by far the most fun you can have in an airplane.
Shh, don't tell those Lynden guys that they don't have a real career.

I second the suggestion of Mokulele. Tidy operation with a "pathway" to Skywest. Option perhaps to transfer to Hawaii if that's of interest.

Have you seen what those poor guys get paid? It used to be #1 on my list until I saw that.
They have a job. Just like every other turboprop operation.

Something like 12/hr. I was lucky to get on with the airline formerly known as surf air, which paid triple that.
I think mokulele lost the LAX to imperial EAS route so factor that in to your decision. I enjoyed my time at surf and If I were you I would defintely check them out.

Oh hell, I meant Lyndon. It's abysmal there to fly a C-130.

Go from lifting off a 3,000’ municipal strip to cruising at FL250 in 15 minutes or less. Get to your destination 400nm away in an hour and a half, and slot right into the flow with the evening hub bank.

Turboprop life.

@RamRise Surf is actually a dream job for me. I’ve been submitting my resume to Encompass regularly (both to their recruiting inbox and to Elaine Jumes, who I understand is involved in hiring). There hasn’t been any response but based on what I’ve read they’re not hiring FOs now. Do you have any suggestions on other people at Encompass I should be trying to connect with or how else to get hired there (once hiring resumes)? Thanks.

Not really, just keep soliciting I guess. Most of the people I knew in high places have moved on or been forced out. The upper management has seen 2 major upheavals since 2014 and each time it basically wiped the slate clean. They are really hurting for captains as I understand, so when you do finally land an interview, make sure to emphasize turboprop flying and QOL/ location is your main motivator.

Bam, just like that!
That's a great looking website, I especially love the sexy voice describing my favorite jet, the Lear 45. If she was a controller, I'd fly circles in her sector!
How much straight 91 management do you guys do out there?

hahaha, all our planes are 91/135.
