Horizon Air SOC to be integrated into Alaska Air

I don't foresee that happening. Pretty sure the Feds won't allow it. They nixed it with Republic when they tried to merge theirs into one.

Based on the article, it doesn't sound like they are thinking of merging the Horizon/Alaska SOC,s but rather this would be co-location only. I wouldn't think the FAA would have a problem with that.

From the article: (Tilden) announced that Alaska Air is “consolidating our Horizon leadership team and our operations center in Seattle, giving us a much better ability to develop talent across Horizon and Alaska.”

Its open for interpretation, but sounds a lot like moving the Horizon SOC in PDX up to SEA to me.

Operations center usually refers to the NOC.

If that's true, then some employees probably won't make the move from PDX to SEA. It could maybe open up some dx spots in the future. It's very common when OCC move to a different state. As we have seen with VX & ATLAS.

The news article states that "they" took delivery of 10 ERJ175s. Where did those Jungle Jets end up?
