Kalitta Air hiring x2

Hey Guys Kalitta is hiring two more flight followers due to massive growth. Rumor has it that unlike previous hires these two positions will come from outside the company. 4 days on 4 day off 10 hour shifts. Good luck

Is Kalitta based out of YIP or is it somewhere like PTK?

Anyway, as far as the world of ad hoc cargo goes, from an outside perspective KHY seems to have their stuff together. Seems like one would get better 121 experience there than at someplace like JUS or AJI, but I could be wrong.

YIP which is between Detroit and Ann arbor. Down town Detroit is really coming along and there are plenty of nice suburbs with good cost of living near by. You will get lots of lots of international experience to airports all around the world with some some 767 domestic flights mixed in.

If Connie Kalitta's race team is any indication, then Kalitta Air would a top notch outfit also. Connie Kalitta, when he raced, was known as The Bounty Hunter...

One would get great experience at Kalitta I'm sure! But nothing wrong with JUS! Very thankful for that company and the great experience they gave me! Awesome group of people to work there. Helped me get to where I am in SDF!

Spent almost 5 years in the area...living in Belleville. Thought I was going to hate it....but came to really love it and call it home!

The experience here is great for your future. Heavy 747 and 767 international experience is great. You have lots of freedom but expected to do your job with very little oversight. We have had people leave here to Fed Ex, UPS, and United to name a few. I live between DTW and Downtown Detroit and love it. I'm about 15 minutes from work and 15 minutes to down town Detroit. If you have not been to Detroit lately you will be surprised lots of fun things to do down town and it keeps getting better and better.

just a little more info since lots of people have asked

Pay just north of 50K
salary 4 on 4 off
were not unionized
lots of opportunity to pick up extra shifts at prorated rate no time and half
CASS as soon as your qualified
Agreements with many airlines including a few international
Great health Care I mean really good
Lots of growth
Lots of good place to live near by

There are a few cons and complaints but experience outweighs them for someone looking for great experience
Operations is in a old converted hangar at KYIP
Step behind in technology but slowly improving
Great people to work with in all departments
very relaxed non judgment environment
Were all a little crazy!! :D

Did the class number increase, I still see the posting up from a month ago. The benefits look good. I discovered that a good dx job with CASS is hard to find.

We have hired one possibly two. There is three positions open. We have a good captain who does great work with CASS and coming up with agreements with other airlines. Connie is here most every day. Our ops floor is upstairs and his office is down stairs. I have not seen him upstairs in the past few years but we do hear him talking from down stairs from time to time

Does Connie have the race team nearby also?
