The big brown desk

1.1 & 1.2 billion dollar losses in '15 & '16.
Yeah, I could turn that place around, I don't know why they needed Mr Anderson.

Is it just me, or is there a cadre of CEO-types that just play musical chairs between airlines. Do any of these guys actually know about the airlines? Or do they just know about business.

If I know Anderson's personality, and I think I do, he took this job as a sort of challenge. It would be nice if he could turn it around, think of the legend he'd leave. It's hardly about money, he obviously has more than enough.

That being said I would like to be a fly on the wall in his office. He's used to limited union involvement in an industry that, while government regulated, can still make major changes as it sees fit. Amtrak is pretty much as far opposite as far as Delta's working environment as you can get without being Emirates.

I'm sure he got enough experience dealing with multiple unions as the CEO of NWA.
Was he the guy at NWA that told employees they should dumpster dive to save money

I kinda dug the frugal but not cheap mentality he had. SWA has it too. It's incredible what AA is wasting money on these days now that they have money in their pocket. Such a waste.

Not sure if it was an original thought but the crew at RAH recommended dumpster diving.

Wasn't that Doug "Stone Cold" Steenland?

Yeah that memo made its rounds at Pinnacle. Literally said if walking by a garbage can, feel free to see what's inside and reach if you want something.

Someone told me "remember, you're married to the airline. The CEO is just sleeping with it before he moves on to his next fling."
