KCM/TSA question for leisure travel

This may sound like a stupid question but I haven't been in the situation yet: if the airport has no KCM checkpoint and I show up in uniform to jumpseat, by my lonesome badged and ready to go, can I cut in line at security like we do when on duty, enter through the employee line partition if there is one, or just wait in line?

Some airports allow only working crew only to skip. It varies. Coming out of Maui the TSA found my lavender jam but completely missed the 20 oz sunscreen I had. Idiots.

I know what I'd do but I'm a bad person.

And the whole world has to answer right now just to tell you once again

They make lavender jam? Is that a metaphor? I thought lavender was a flower. I'm so confused.

There is a popular lavender farm in Maui, and despite growing up in Hawaii, I have never been there, but have heard good things (solely from middle aged women so YMMV). The jam is probably some generic berry or apple base flavored with lavender or something.

That's why I love this place. Someone always has an answer!

Well, what did you do?

SSSS on every ticket since going to Turkey. TSA manager (like suit and tie TSA, not blue shirt) told me to have my employer contact Secure Flight and lobby for my removal from "the list". My employer said no, and insult to injury, removed me from KCM for no real reason.

Back to the original question. Based on your other thread about commuting, it sounds like you are asking about TPA. I commute out of TPA. If you are in uniform you can go through the pre-check lane. The TSA person checking IDs may call you ahead of others in line. When you get to the bag belt, the TSA person most likely will hold the other people up and let you jump to the front. I normally can clear security in 2-3 minutes. As much as I wish we could get KCM, I don't mind going through security in TPA. Even on the worst day, it takes me 5-6 minutes to get through.

I knew it. I KNEW IT! There's something that's just a little fishy with your story… :)

Security in our concourse in TPA is faster than using KCM, in my opinion. The problem with KCM in some stations are the vast amount of crewmembers that don't arrive at the checkpoint prepared to scan, show (ID) and move the hell away from the desk efficiently. Every time you stop, trade some pleasantry, shuffle around in your bag for your passport, open to the page, then scan your KCM tag, store everything and slowly shuffle off can cascade into longer lines and massive delays.

Mad props to @Murdoughnut

Did you talk to ALPA like I told you to?
