Bye bye Cuba

Please.

"Hey macho lifted truck driving Texans... you're all French now."

This is a policy to bolster his election margins with the Cuban population in Florida. Reminds me of similar situation in S. Korea. The old hard-liners are out of touch with reality. That voting block will die soon. #Freakingbabyboomers.

It was to get Rubio to lay off of him in the Senate hearings.

And almost everyone has cut back or stopped service to Cuba, Well before this announcement.

That was expected, though - it was a fight for carriers to get their names on slots - and a lot of the slots proposed didn't make sense. The long and short of it, it was too much capacity to begin with.

We have a daily Southwest flight to HAV that does quite well, not to mention charters to other Cuban markets.

Which is why he has giant hotels with his name on them and is the POTUS.

While I don't like the guy, I don't think this falls into the "sucks at all things in life" category.

At the very least, respect the office, if not the man.
At what cost? I'm an independant and don't play either side of the field. To this point, I have respected the office, but Republicans and Democrats need to get this moron out. This guy isn't just bad for our country, he's bad for the world.

But that wasn't the point of the OP. "He sucks at everything". My point was clearly not, since he seems to be doing, objectively speaking, tolerably well in many areas of his personal life, even if it's just being lucky. I'm not sure being hated on is really "sucking at life".

I don't mind a little rage, but don't let it cloud your reason. Being nonsensical about it doesn't help your case, and stuff like that just makes people roll their eyes and go back to their WSJ.

Have you traveled outside the country in the last year or so? If not, no... You aren't supposed to be mad.

Canada, Mexico and The Caribbean. Mexico is getting harder, tried to tax a carton of smokes almost $200, not pesos, but dollars. They also tried to accuse me of running a business in Mexico because I had a tablet (work issued) and laptop.

Canada has always been difficult. I sometimes mess with Canada now, and fill the forms out on the French side, just because some of the customs people can be so rude

"Oops, I'm sorry. I've filled out so many of them, I didn't even notice."

I suppose I should have meant it to not have been taken completely literal but you have to admit, he really is basically a lottery winner who is kind of a loser.

He is an admitted rapist, if that matters at all.

With all this rollback on Cuba because of what they did generations ago, how come there are no restrictions proposed with China (wait...there has been a few trademarks awarded lately), or Russia (Congress notwithstanding)?

This whole drama looks to me like deflection.

Of course.

The apologists will say it's about human rights, but:

I'd love to see an argument that it's anything other than dismantling the previous administrations legacy because there's part of his base that loves it.
