Delta pilot hits passenger

Women aren't pressing charges and the pilot is already back on duty. The fight began on the jet and I think the women realized they would be in the most trouble.

He was obviously stopping one of them from attacking the other. Once that stopped he walked away. Risky? Yes. But it probably stopped it from escalating.

He's on camera hitting a woman. And then promptly retreats. That's not how you beak up a fight.

And being caught on camera hitting a woman passenger isn't good.

He was breaking the choke hold or grip the one woman had on the other. He retreats because no one was in immediate danger after he first helped out. I must be watching a different video if you see otherwise.

Did it work? Than that's how you break up a fight. Besides it looks like he hit her arm, not her face. But im dyin cause of the woman sitting on the other!

Damned if you get involved…

Still a dumb move...I would have stayed so far out of it.

Damned if you don't:

I love how all the media headlines are about the "pilot" hitting a passenger. These women were mauling each other on the jetway and running over wheelchairs. He gave her a little tap on the arm to get her to let go. Clearly he must be a woman beating maniac...SMDH.

When the cameras come out, don't do something that'll make the news for yourself personally. Better yet, since you're probably not going to come out midflight, nearly all pilots being filmed negatively are on the ground. Why not stay out of the spotlight as much possible?

Jetbridge? Forget it.

Why intervene? Because pilots are so type A and so hellbent on being in the thick of anything on THEIR JET!

But once they left the aircraft it's not the Captain's responsibility anymore, although you could argue that it still is.

With all the cell phones and media paranoia involving airlines now, I'm hesitant to even breathe at work.
