Extending into day off

We get the extra flight time or trip rig, whichever is greater plus 2 hours for the first day,4 for 2nd and 6 thereafter. No comp days. It happens so often, I think scheduling just considers it part of your normal schedule.

I've yet to be extended, even on reserve.

I still don't understand that meme. Does it basically mean, "I don't really care"? And if so, why in FSM's name can't they just say that?
 
I don't really get it either. I think it just sounds absurd and comically non-sequitur.

Kind of like the Guinea Pig with the pancake on it's head.

A day off and duty free period AAre different things. They are both days off but they can only reassign you into a day off not a DFP. you can move them around freely. But if you didn't move them right like @learhawkerbe400 in his little RJ you aren't entitled to as much if you fly into your day off.

Happens a LOT here. You can insure against it a little bit by flying trips that end mid-week vs. trips that end on a Friday or Saturday.

It's one of the biggest items that was not addressed in our new CBA. Hopefully they'll be able to tackle it in the next.

Pays 150% but it's usually not worth the hassle and the lost time off and broken promises

Wrong.

You can be reassigned into a DFP or a day off. If you're reassigned into a a DFP you get 24 hours off of your next trip plus premium pay for the block outside the original sequence footprint.

A regular day off you just get the premium pay.
