Hope you Delta guys like Incheon

Oh god...you're one of THOSE.

"Dude, TGI Fridays is only a block away!"

or

"More than enough time to hang out at the Jet Lag Club."

Nah not really. On a layover I want sleep, food, workout options and a comfortable place to relax. Sightseeing/exploring is ok for a new place. But when you're there for work it's just different.

And I typically don't meet up with the other pilot. Unless we really hit it off 20 hours 3 feet apart on a 4 day is enough time together for me.

Granted I don't fly international but even then I probably wouldn't mess with my routine.

So in this instance your Haters meme would be what, Belgium going on the record about how unfair the world is to German beers?

I don't know, you two do what you're going to do and we'll see you at Versailles. :)

Crap, got my history wrong. They left the Huns out, didn't they...

I don't hang out with the crew either, but the world is this huge amazing place. Not going to check it out, especially when you're given the opportunity to see some really amazing places just boggles my mind.

Some of my best layovers when I had the chance to explore what when I was flying with the "Dad pants Irish bar" crew and I just went solo.

I literally have to explore. Yes I'll still work out, eat, be social and such, but I'm not going to eat at a TGI Fridays because the copilot is afraid of Malaysian food and doesn't feel comfortable walking into a dive bar in that's not on the "iCrew Max" layover guide.

I'll have a great time with a great crew and a great time without, either way! :)

What about Taco Bell and Netflix?

Sure. You decry the fact that we fly to at least 25 European cities, but claim it's only 2. Add in all the African, CA and SA, and Asian cities, yet you guys only fly to what, 11 cities in Asia?

I guess if you count long haul to the mainland, you got a point, but to me, long haul means OCONUS.

Isnt Hawaii considered OCONUS? haha

17 years ago, Two USN Hornets i was supposed to be controlling up in the DMZ never checked in with me, as they accidently flew north of the DMZ 45 miles into North Korea, spent time trying to contact me, and left back south again after hanging around up there for 15 mins. :)

Surprised ROK ATC didn't yell "TURN HEADING 180 IMMEDIATELY." Heard that incessantly even though we were well south of the river.

Hey there Mr Defensive...

I was responding to the comment that all longhaul flying is the same as long as the block hours are the same.

@Derg has made comments for several years bemoaning the reduction in European destinations due to your JV with KLM/AF.

This wasn't a dick measuring contest, but thanks for unzipping your pants anyways.
