Career Specific - Medevac?

Has there been any thought to adding a section in the Career Specific forums for Medevacs? Seems like threads pertaining usually end up scattered across the general discussion or corporate/fractional/charter aviation, neither of which they particularly fit into IMHO.

One thing I'll point out, though, is that there are no f/w EMS-specifics regs. Unlike the HEMS/HAA ops that have the 135.6xx regs, the f/w side is your run-of-the-mill on-demand passenger ops. My only concern is that some regs or ops-specific topics might miss some of the membership here who could provide insight to the discussion.

Otherwise, I'm all for it.
 
Last I've heard we're going to be (This is why we need a forum ;) ). AMGH/KKR, not sure how far along in the process.
 
And AMRG runs something like 8 different certificates? AMGH already has 7+. Oh this ought to be interesting.

It's worse than Trans US American West Airways.

I think it's a total of 4 certificates under the umbrella at the moment.

Good point but, with the Helios running the show, when those kind of thing end up in the op specs. You still have to abide by them.

I'm not sure I'm reading your post right.

If you're referring to my "135.6xx" reference, no we don't. 14 CFR 135 Subpart L encompasses 135.601-621 and is titled "Helicopter Air Ambulance Equipment, Operations, and Training Requirements." That's like saying we, as fixed-wing pilots, have to abide by A021 in addition to A024.

Well I think he's getting at operators who copy/pasta their ops specs and then things end up applying for both.
 
Word on the street is another single engine turboprop of the Swiss variety is showing up there soon. At least, Eagle med crews down there are getting trained in on it.

Interesting..Eagle has been flying it for the past few months. Aerocare is the only one restricted to King Air only.

The aerocare crew in GUP just got trained on the PC12. Perhaps some truth to that word on the street?
