That's a small RJ

Just me or does FedEx Express truly charge you to create an application profile on pilot credentials? Thinking I'd throw my hat in the ring, but pay-to-play?

From the website:

Application Fee

FedEx charges a $75.00 application fee for all new profiles except where prohibited by law. If you've received an Access Code from a FedEx or PilotCredentials.com employee, the fee will be waived, otherwise, your credit card will be charged through a PayPal secured, encrypted transaction. Your credit card number will not be stored. The transaction will appear on your credit card statement as "FDXPILOT / FedEx Pilot Application Fee".

Hm, that's a new one on me. I haven't seen that or heard of that before, but I just went and looked and saw the statement there on the Account Settings page of my own application. I definitely did not get charged to submit my app back in '15 when I did, but I can't 100% verify if this statement was or wasn't there when I did.

Seems pretty 90s-throwback-y and, well, douchey if indeed true.

EDIT: Just clicked around and couldn't find anywhere to pay this thing even if it were correct, unless they extract it directly from info you provide to sign up on the Global PilotCredentials site.

I created a fedex profile before signing up for the global pilotcredential.com profile. I was not charged when I created an airline-specific profile.

This "fee" just popped up right after the career expo was announced. If that is truly the case... d!ck move!

Well, I filled out the registration form and all it said was "we will contact you by email when registration ends"... is that the standard response?

Did anyone actually get an email as well, or just the information provided on the registration website?
