Really JetBlue? REEEEAAAAALLLLYYYYY??????

Sorry, unless you are doing international flights no soup for you

Then say it from the start and maybe the airline won't operate there. But when you get pressured a month out by one of the oligopoly carriers it stinks of corruption. Time to raise the curtain and see what really happened behind the scenes...

Errr....Yeah gotta make sure the BIG BOYS are taken care of! I mean the gall! Don't they realize this is SouthernJet's home turf! Banish them!

Let's see how it plays out. I mean why would you want another carrier to have any success there right? Gotta make sure we keep funneling them into the widget!

I sort of felt bad for JetBlue until I read this:

In a letter last June, JetBlue's vice president of network planning, Dave Clark, wrote to Hartsfield-Jackson general manager Roosevelt Council that "it's clear that the existing common use gates at the end of the D Concourse are not satisfactory to serve the aircraft and higher end business and leisure travelers that JetBlue is targeting in the Atlanta market."

If you read the article it says they were promised Term E or F, now it's being split between D and E six weeks before launch. I'd be pissed too.

Did JetBlue pay for Terminal E or F?

According to the article (all I have to go on) they were promised or under the assumption they would get either. To set up operations and logistics for those gates only to now have it switched so close to going live is tough to swallow.

Seems like manipulation through the media to me. All LLC traffic goes out of D. Does Jetblue own the leases to the gates it is demanding? It will probably work out as well as it did for Qatar when they dictated where they would be parking at on F.

Southwest operates out of C.

LLC is a type of corporate structure. LCC is typically known as a "low cost carrier".

Sorry, pet peeve. I see it all the time.
