I heard something in-line with this at SFO recently, I think it is legit. If it isn't, they did save at least one recently. Good for them.Hm, no names, critical details missing, sounds like fake news to me.

Ah interesting, happened again recently then, though I think it was coming from Palm Springs and I'm not sure an F/A was the one to tip off the authorities IIRC, but the guy got caught. It happened 6 years ago. And the story was told to several news outlets.

SFO has been on a big push for all employees to be looking out for human trafficking. I've spent the last 10 years working at that airport and did not give human trafficking any thought until the awareness campaign. In the few months since, several have been caught trafficking young girls. Money makes people do some downright awful things. I don't know how these guys live with themselves.
State Law: Stop for Pedestrians in Crosswalk.Definitely important, but I did get a giggle walking through the Atlanta airport. Passed a sign that said "human trafficking is illegal." Like some dude is going to be like "oh, holy crap. I had no idea I wasn't supposed to be doing this."
I hate that sign! It seems to give people the impression that they're justified to step into the street without looking...State Law: Stop for Pedestrians in Crosswalk.
I love that sign.

If you can't do something smart, do something right

I'm not sure that's always a joke...I always joked that you could see how much someone had to live for, by how willing they were to step out in front of a car when they have the right of way.
Bill Burr has an awesome bit about this regarding domestic violence.Definitely important, but I did get a giggle walking through the Atlanta airport. For me the sign just makes me imagine a meeting at the state DOT:I hate that sign! It seems to give people the impression that they're justified to step into the street without looking...

Can you?....Can you really legislate stupidity? For me the sign just makes me imagine a meeting at the state DOT:
"Geeez Bob, people keep getting hit in crosswalks!"
"Isn't there a law or something? Maybe we should get the legislature in on this Jim!"
