Steve O1?

But on a serious note, if this guy's youtube is rife with potential violations, why is nobody sliding it under the door of an overzealous FAA inspector's office?

I am dumbfounded with the amount of video evidence that is on social media & youtube. low altitude busts, VMC into IMC, aerobatics in non-aerobatic aircraft, aerobatics without parachutes, aerobatics in areas where it is prohibited, formation flight with aircraft being operated for hire with passengers, people acting as SICs when not properly rated to do so...

Well, that's everyday GA for you...

Yep, I know a good number of piston pilots who go to full power with the brakes holding just before beginning the takeoff roll as a final power check. I don't really have a problem with it. The "Hey, I just flashed you did you see me," OTOH.

Other than that, this was one of his tamer videos. But you sit there with the thought "wait for it...." I was actually expecting something to go haywire on that VFR approach into an airport about to go IFR. Didn't happen then but, sure enough, my cringe moment came when, leaving SAC, ATC asked for an early turn out. Before he even said it, I knew the next words were going to be in the "watch this" category. If anyone cringed at his landing back at Auburn,. you haven't seen some of his other landing antics.

I think his complete cockiness and (as much as I dislike the FAA's "hazardous attitudes") sense of invulnerability are what really bother me about watching these. And I bet it's the exact same think that leads to his popularity.

The guys discussed so far are ok for the most part. But, not naming names, there is a guy flying a light twin on the west coast who makes me cringe at least once in every video.

Can you name names because I just want to watch the videos. Not sure who you are talking about.

oh I have no problems with holding the brakes, I was referring to the finger gun 'BANGO' when he released. quite entertaining

@Inverted see my post above

I had to shut it off. Can't quite put my finger on why it annoys me but its like, too intense about mundane crap... Since when is 8c cold?
It's one of those, it's so bad you can't take your eyes off it. Like Midlife said, it's probably one of the more tame videos. Check out the one of him flying with his daughter around yosemite...
