Anyone play EVE Online?

Played it for about six months WAY back in the day when it first released. Been thinking about getting back into it now that it's going F2P.

I played it back in 2003/2004 and loved it dearly. I actually stopped playing it because it was threatening to consume too much of my life. But I've off-again on-again kept my skills in training over the years, and I got stuck watching a run of EVE recruitment videos last night that really made me miss it.

Did you follow the recent death star incident?

Was thinking about playing now thats its f2p. How hard is it to figure out? Seems awfully complicated.
I played for about a year a couple years ago. It took a bit to figure it out....But it was a blast. Part of the fun was the many aspects of the game and learning some about them all.

It's incredibly multifaceted. It can be as complex or as simple as you wish it to be.

I was a 0.0 battleship driver and fleet commander. My roommate was literally a junk buyer. A bunch of good friends were carebears. Quite a few were stealth miners. Several were pirates. Researchers, industrialists ... As the game went on, people went to caps and supercaps, wormholes, faction warfare, and all sorts of stuff I haven't really put much time into.

I bailed out of Eve after the "scandal" involving some of the admins and guilds.
