Here's a question.

What do you not like about the 757/767 cockpit itself? (considering nothing else...destinations, seniority, pay, all irrelevant)

I'm just curious about ergonomics, comfort, and things that you'd miss after going to something else. And, things that you don't miss.

Strictly ergonomics... I'm hesitant to answer this question because these are seriously first world issues... But, since you asked: You'll laugh, but it could use 1 more cupholder per side and they could be placed better (seriously, when the FA hands you a seltzer water and cup of ice, what are you supposed to do?). The 757-300 seats don't go as far back as the -200s and 767s. Not sure why. Leads to a slightly more cramped feeling. The -300 seats seem to be hard too. Maybe it's just me. Anything else I can think of like too many dimmer rheostats has been fixed on the 777 and 787 so I don't feel like that's a valid complaint. If you compare with the MD80 series it's definitely not valid. Finally, like any airplane I've ever flown, there is no perfect solution for window shades if the sun is in the wrong place. You're just out of luck. Final thing, the 757/767 has the weirdest seat position for the correct sight picture. I feel like a chipmunk if the seat is in the right place. You're really up high and close to the dash and the first time you land the real airplane it's a very different view than what you're used to in other airliners. But once again that may just be me. I digress. #mainlineproblems

I currently carry a hat, sunscreen, two mesh screen unfoldable screens, a roll-on UV shade, and a roll of masking tape. So while the 757 detachable sun shade looks super hokey from my jumpseat observations, it also isn't any worse.

Agreed, I bring sunglasses. Should consider more. Some of the newer 757s have better shades too.
 
I guess I'm the only one that doesn't like the bus that much. It just doesn't feel like flying anymore and it was a step back in technology for me but it's easy and the paycheck and QOL are amazing so I can't complain.
