I was having lunch with a bud who was flying with a guy, who came along.
Spent the entire lunch trying to sell me on a gadget that was suppose to drop my electric bill 90% or some such nonsense. It wasn't solar, or anything even remotely explainable, but more in line with a perpetual motion machine.
Granted I'm not the hottest poker in the fire, but after six years studying engineering and chemistry, some knowledge may have rubbed off, even if inadvertently.
So I'm explaining to this guy that we obey the laws of thermodynamics on this planet, and go into detail some the issues his "device" might have.
He finally got so frustrated that not only was I not taking the bait, but calling him out on all the BS as well, he finally just said "you science people make everything so hard! You're the reason no one can get anything done!"
After lunch, I asked my bro "dude, I love ya, but why did you bring this dude to lunch?". He goes "I've had to fly with him for the last 3 days, and I wanted to see you obliterate him. Well done, BTW".
Sigh...I miss when lunch was just lunch.
