MiG-21 tail strike

Several years ago at Reno a Blue Angles solo pilot got a little to too fast and boom! He broke the sound barrier.

The announcer said something like; "Private Miller will now land and park his aircraft."

In North Korea getting busted to private would be the best result.

I wonder what percentage of the DPRK population has actually flown on an airplane..

Based on the dust on the runway I say very few.

The four engine turbo prop is a joy to watch.

It does say in the video below the country's first female pilot is flying the Mig 21.

Most likely the pilot's new assignment

I have to confess to lol'ing too, but the MiG with the female pilot subtitle appears to have a different number than the tail strike aircraft.

Watching old skool Soviet planes fly around it pretty cool...Tu-134/154 and the Il-62, esp the the -62 with the outboard engines in reverse before landing (always thought that was interesting about that plane)
