Came across this today. Might not be a bad start for someone working on their ticket and wanting to get their foot into a SOC...

No ticket needed. At most shops this is the "DX Planner" function (for which ADX is generally required). But that's not how YV rolls

It should be required. Ive seen it too many times at shops were this type of position didnt require a dispatch license and where the lack of knowledge in how to route planes with certain MEL placards and aircraft performance/Ops spec restrictions has led to issues.
 
You mean #1 or 2 bleed INOP is an important consideration when routing an aircraft????

At FX A/C routing is an MX planner function that's what I did when I first hired on 10 years ago did it for a year but all the most recent MX planner hires have been DX'rs from Endeavor and other places that had routing experience. That's why I wouldn't expect FX to go external for a DX position anytime soon all the new hires as MX planners have their commitment time almost up and can bid on jobs all have indicated they will seek out a DX job when one is posted and they all have DX experience.
