I think they are replacing the Convair. They have a check airman based down here (always a legit source, right? These replacing their Falcons?
With Chieftain panels!Give it 5 years and they'll certify it single pilot for 135 freight.
Looks good as a freighter! I wish AMF would pick some up. I feel like CRJs are cheaper than Brasilias these days. The FAA didn't say yes, but they didn't say no to operating it under 135 either.

Remove FOQA stuff? What does that mean? For now they're "just an addition" but I'd be they'll eventually replace the Convair. Theres no sim for the Convair, and with the PIC type rule training costs are astronomical. Nobody want's CRJ's for pax stuff anymore, the CRJ's are super super cheap even after the door is cut.
IFL is pretty good at what they do. They've been working on getting these since before I was there. If they can figure out modern airplanes and remove FOQA stuff, it'll work out nicely.

I'm guessing it means that they don't want their flight ops quality assured.
What does that mean? It's 1980's freight...
What does that mean?

You can fly a CRJ under 135 all you want. Today. FAA has no problem with it. Hell you can fly a 737 under 135 and they'll have no problem with it. In fact I can think of a few operators that do.Looks good as a freighter! I wish AMF would pick some up. I feel like CRJs are cheaper than Brasilias these days. Class act, that operation...I'm guessing it means that they don't want their flight ops quality assured.
