There's a reason why airlines fly stabilized approaches and require landing in the touchdown zone. Anything outside that calls for a go around prior to touching down. SWA proved that in LGA.Ugh. I've been in there a few times. Density altitude and short runway aren't good.
From the comments - which weren't horrible:
"A pilot who viewed this accident on surveillance video reported that the twin-engine Beech Baron touched down on the nose wheel about mid-field--likely as a result of trying to salvage a high and hot approach--porpoised, and then attempted a go-around. One engine failed during the go-around"
Well, that's certainly how McD's does it with hamburgers. With the pilot situation and the litigation situation these days, McJobbing flying probably makes sense Iffin' you want all the pilots to fly like they was cookin' burgers at McD's. Iffin' you want a tasty burger crafted from clean beef, go with a pilot who knows how to fly, how to judge, and how to abort. There's a reason why airlines fly stabilized approaches and require landing in the touchdown zone. I don't really know what he's trying to say there, but if he's disagreeing with your earlier statement he cray.Just don't get it, do you.

It's ok man, we all hop on here once in a while after we've had too much too drink. As long as you weren't doing it while stopped at a green light, you should be good!Ah, rats. I got hacked.
Stabilized approaches are good. Repeat. Stabilized approaches are good.
Stabilized posts are good too. Keeping your unlocked keyboard away from "friends'" fingertips is also good.
Carry on and pardon me now while I go beat the tar out of someone.
RIP to the deceased.
Just don't get it, do you.
Long time no see!Interesting that no one has commented on the fact that there were 6 people in a B55. I know some have a fold down seat in the baggage area, but they are far from practical/useful.
Very sad.
