Nanchang CJ-6

I know all the Tiger Squadron guys at TOA. My good buddy is the A&P who works on all their planes. I'd be more than happy to pass your info along. Have fun, they look like awesome birds!

No experience outside of just going for rides and getting some fun stick time in a few. @ryan1234 may know some more folks you could connect from the Yak/CJ world.

Hahaha! That's a little stretch from a 182 no?

Haha yes, big jump! 182 sold quickly and for a good profit. Was looking for Bonanzas and even Twin Cessnas but my wife is headed to military pilot training which all said and done with is about a 2 year process so I didn't really need the seats and cross country capability and just wanted something to do while she's gone.

I know you're up in the Seattle area, but T67 (Hicks Field) in Ft. Worth Texas had a group of guys that flew atleast 5 of them around.

That's good info, might be worth trying to connect RE parts and community help for maintaining them.

I have a Yak. Unfortunately, I'm an east coaster but I'd be happy to help in any way I can! I'm still learning about them as well. Great airplanes and I love it.

And Mark, don't even go there or I'll make you do all the work next time we fly together haha.

Muahaha. The CJ-6 is so much more better than the Yak.

Greg, thank you I have a few general questions, I'll send you a PM soon. What kind of Yak?

Mark, I know a guy who will tell you all about the time he checked out on the Nanchang at Pan American....huh?

Dan, it's a 52W. I'll do my best! Have you done much flying in the CJ yet?

I'd second hooking up with the Tiger Squadron. I see them often at Catalina, one Nanchang member is a couple hangars down from me at Chino.
