Looks like a little SUMMA8 departure (?)
Is that what it looks like? I always do it when it's midnight and black.

This sunset hit our neighboring bird and just reminded me of what 500 used to look like - beaten to hell and weathered like a toilet. She shines in person... But those sunsets sure are a nice treat to boot.
I've been to the park twenty times and still have yet to see a Grizz!Grizzly:

Thanks! This one was in the Lamar Valley...a little further east, we got to see a mama + 2 cubs, but they were too far up the ridge to get with my camera. The only thing I didn't get to see was the wolves...they were in their den when we got there.I've been to the park twenty times and still have yet to see a Grizz!
Great shots!
Where are you taking these from? I always end up by the damn cell phone lot. All those rental cars and the fence are always in the way.....
They just opened an official public spotting area right by the FedEx facility on Air Cargo Road.
I didnt realize the public could get back that far. It's like you are inside the field almost.... Thanks
Went to Yellowstone NP yesterday for the first time ever (I know, I should have gone before)...lived up to expectations. I will say this, drive the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway (Or Highway if you prefer)...gorgeous drive, and would be fun if you're a fan of "Top Gear" (the real one).
View of Pilot Peak and Index Peak from the highway:
