I reckon the MX quality meets the FAA requirements for Allegiant to have a MX department... Otherwise it wouldn't exist.
Again, I have to disagree. Some of the best companies slip up once in a while. Southwest is eons better than Allegiant. But they were assessed $12m in fines not to long ago.

Delta, American, United have all been fined for skipping things, or sub par repairs/MX. No one is immune. But Allegiant is in the spotlight because they have reoccurring issues that don't seem to be getting fixed.
