Hmmm anybody have any info from the orange site? Their website doesn't say anything about 850hrs.

I've been working with them on some stuff. A good group of stand up guys, they're looking for pilots, chat with them.

What, did they buy a few old 172's and just gonna have guys smash bugs until 1500?

Thank you for your email. I want to confirm we will hire at 850 total time by offering you a contingent offer if you are selected during the interview process. What it means is once you finish your hours, you will have a job waiting for you. Although Air Wisconsin may not be able to help obtain all the hours someone may need, Air Wisconsin will help in reaching your total time by providing 36 hours of SIM time toward your total time (or 46 hours if you are taking our CTP course). Hope this helps, if you have any questions, please let me know.

Thanks!

Smoke and mirrors.

What is required to get selected to take the CTP course?

You only have to apply to Air Wisconsin and be in need your ATP J If you are selected at the interview session and need your ATP you will be automatically enrolled in CTP.

What are the contractual obligations if the the pilot is "hired" before 1500hrs?

There are no contractual obligations if hired before. You do not start in background or in any classes until you have obtained your hours needed. We are ensuring you will have a spot when you fulfill those requirements.

I'm a little confused about the 36 hours of SIM time (or 46 hours if taking the CTP course).
Is that offered after I complete my 1500hrs? Or before I have 1500hrs. but have been selected during the interview process?

While you are in training you receive 36 hours of sim time. If you need our CTP course you receive an additional 10 hours of sim time. These totals count toward your 1500 total time; therefore, to start in class, you only need 1454-1464 hours instead of 1500.

Hope this helps!

So weird.
So basically, they interview you, hire you, then tell you to go get 650 more hours minus some sim time that they give you, hoping that you'll come back in a year. How do they know how good of a pilot you'll be if they interview you with nearly half the time you need?!

Clever indeed!

Hmmm, anyone know if RJET recruitment is still doing this? Last I heard they are filling classes just fine (40 newbies per month, or so) I hear.
