Only a matter of time til the AF pressures congress into making it AF only so they can immediately send it to the boneyard rather than let the Army keep their groundscraped knuckles around it.

Every radar has a specific electromagnetic fingerprint. Some have more than one with the modern stuff.
As to what our systems can identify : classified...

What systems we program to aircraft type: extremely classified...
Basically the RWR is playing an electromagnetic version of name that tune. It hears energy at a specific set of beats and tones and says oh that's a SA-____ and it's in ____ mode. You then compare that to your set aircraft tactics to defeat the system.

It's not my fault you had to spend 30 tries at a flight schedule to find one the SCO liked.
Besides, if you had the WOs doing real work you wouldn't have anybody to go empty that conex for the 4th time in 3 weeks to find that equipment you can't account for.
