Profit sharing back at AA

their 2015 profit was 8.1B so 405M in profit sharing, spread out over 110k employees, so assuming everyone got equal, $3,681.82 per person

guess it's better than nothing.

Assuming everyone gets equal... That's a helluvan assumption. We'll just have to wait to see the details I guess.

I will take my regional profit sharing in the form of a gift certificate for one at Golden Corral, because buffet. Or Sizzler.

Edit: I can't type worth crap tonight!

According to Doug and Scott's letter, they can't do this without each individual unions approval.

There might be a hang up in how the profit sharing is calculated, but I am willing to bet that each union will approve. Especially since it is outside negotiations.

I'd love to see 5% of employee earnings for the year (especially for the union groups), but something tells me it will be simply divided across the board for every employee. Time will tell and the devil is in the details.

I'd like to see it calculated as everyone getting the same amount, personally. We all need to pull, ramp guys throwing bags or pilots SE taxing, it aligns us all.

I'm actually surprised they are giving it to the WO's.

From an Envoy Q&A posted on APC, sounds like the calculation will be based of employee earnings.

I'm not surprised one bit that they made it the entire AAG rather than just AA.

It's pretty bad when airline interview prep companies are steering their clients away from applying to AA due to the negative atmosphere/ culture at the company.

This is a much needed, albeit small, step in the right direction. The WOs need a major pay boost to recruit for the flow, and much better pay and QOL for pilots this next TA to make the company competitive with their counterparts.

The alternative for me was doing 90 hour months at my old commuter, 4 legs a day average, 18 days a month. 860+ legs a year barely cracking six figures. Dealing with multiple MELs and equipment that has been pushed past its working prime. Oh let's not forget the commuter terminal "help".

Yeah, I made a pretty bad choice coming here. I honestly feel like I'm on vacation from where I came from. I can see why all those people at the commuters would totally listen to the aviation interview prep folks.
