So what y'all are saying is you plan around turbulence? Not everyone enjoys a roller coaster ride I guess. I find it makes the flight more exciting!

My biggest pet peeve is in SoCal where you get that Sigment for svr reported by aircraft, and the only pireps are from small GA types. Man, get a real plane!!

More gas and ask atc. How's that for meteorological advice?
Turb forecasts are only as good as the model- which are based on wide grid spacing which thus makes it tough to pinpoint small scale areas of heavier intensity turb. Personally I find the adds gtg product to be the most accurate. Definetly agree it's one of the more frustrating duties of our job.
 
Agree with ya 100%. I dont think its lazy to just add fuel and get the latest and greatest info from ATC. Two planes on the same route 30 nm apart will have two different ride reports so whats the point.

A relatively newly issued sigmet I will plan around though.
