It has begun...

I have started AirlineApps and hoping to get a call in a few months! I'm at 1300 hours. Looking forward to the next part of my aviation career.

Wherever you go make sure you mention a "friend" from this board who works for the company for referring you. I think most regionals have an employee referral bonus system.

Good luck! I am holding off for a couple of weeks just because I'm not ready yet! I'm studying Sheppard Air and the like right now and when that's wrapping up, I'll do Airline Apps and get things going. I am leaving for a vacation Saturday and hope to be wrapped up on study within a week of returning. I'm almost there - 1450.

It'll come together faster than you expect (I was being grumpy about things progressing slowly then all of a sudden I'm like "hold on, I need to studddddyyyyy first! I'm not ready to interview!"), so enjoy every step of it!

Get started on it soon. They want hours in type, PIC, CFI, etc. If you're dumb like me and still only use a paper logbook it's going to to take you some time. Also get a driving record from the state. You'll have to enter every traffic violation and ticket. It's time consuming.

I do have my logbooks in electronic format. So at least there's that. I'll get the driving record going now. I have a grand total of two tickets, ever, so that won't take long to enter ;)

Yes. Although I won't refer someone I haven't flown with or had dinner with.

I think I've only gotten two tickets as well but I'm getting a driving record just to make sure.

What regionals are giving out written tests during the interview? Only recent interview I've heard of doing that was ExpressJet.

Don't waste your time with sheppard air for an airline interview. Spend your time studying the "Everything Explained" book and being comfortable with your IFR knowledge and have some prepared ideas of how to answer HR type questions.
