Allegiant hiring information

Thinking about making a switch to Allegiant and looking for information on their schedules and basic quality of life. Any information you can provide would be great in helping to make a decision to make the move.

Lots of Allegiant pilots on this board. Those I know that have left were very concerned about safety. Lots of maintenance issues and training problems. Not somewhere you want to hang your hat as a career, nor temporarily while trying to get to a major - don't want to risk getting in trouble and having it affect the rest of your career. Any regional is a better choice for now, especially if you are in the left seat or are nearing upgrade.

Oh this will be good.

Popcorn gif anyone?

Im pretty sure most of the people making these comments are NOT employed there. Talk with guys who work there, not people who hear media things or second hand info.

Of the former and current Allegiant guys/gals I know, I have not heard one single positive thing about this operation in quite a few years. A neighbor of mine left Allegiant for UA citing that most of the fleet are POS and he no longer felt safe flying those airplanes. He also said that management has a very disturbing attitude about safety at the airlines. That speaks volumes and he is definitely not the only one to leave because of that reason. Then again there are the few cheerleaders who say the airline is great, growing and better than ever. All in all there are many concerns about the place.

I've talked to pilots who enjoy it there and others who don't. However, concerns with safety issues are a common theme. It's all about what you make of it. I'm sure going to Allegiant would be 100% improvement for qol for some and for others it may not be.
