I'm not opposed to an ad. But it needs to be reasonable for the content.
I hate having to sit through a 45 second Vagistat ad before I read the latest shareholders meeting statements as well.

In this case the ad length was the video length which just is excessive. 5 second video ad for 60 second video? Sure. Or like how YouTube gives the option to skip after 5 seconds. If it's boring, SQUIRREL!I hate having to sit through a 45 second Vagistat ad before I read the latest shareholders meeting statements as well.
It was only 15 seconds for a 45 second clip! Lets not get dramatic, it's only Thursday!![]()

I fully agree.
I don't mind relevant ads, but the problem is that I really hate being tracked by Google in order to serve them.
If I do a search for, I don't know, pinstriped suits, I don't necessarily want to see three weeks of Mens Wearhouse ads or those idiotic Sammy ads.
Add an exception for jetcareers.com at least. @Derg ads aren't obtrusive and help keep the lights on.Adblock plus and Chrome,.....no ads on 95% of what I look at. Including that clip above.

It never fails, in my time here at JC, which means around 7 or 8 yrs, every thread goes off in some awkward direction. I'm reading the first page and it's some conversation about a plane going off a runway. I click forward to the last page and it's about click ads....
Cracks me up!

It's like Tapatalk senses when you are about to click on next, boom there's an add there instead.Since the last update of Tapatalk I've been accidentally clicking on ads 5 or 6 times a day, hope it's helping

Yep, exactly that. It's like Tapatalk senses when you are about to click on next, boom there's an add there instead.
I have had the adds pop up as soon as I scroll to the bottom and I have had them wait till I finish reading a post and am about to click next. I've almost never had the ad pop up when I'm not about to click on next though. Crazy.

I don't think those ad clicks help out @Derg but I could be wrong. I dropped taps talk a few years ago when the updates got worse. It's like Tapatalk senses when you are about to click on next, boom there's an add there instead.
