Delta JS Q's

Phantom017

Up up and awaaaaayyy!
Soooo I've never had to try and list for the JS on Delta before. I fly out of DFW with an AA owned regional. I'm just wondering what the procdure was. I'm trying to make a 2 leg out of ATL. Do I just gate list or is there a number to call. The ALPA website listing for DL takes me to the reservations page and thats about the only info I could find.

Thanks for any and all help guys. I appreciate it.

Go to the gate. Show up at least an hour prior and don't plan on a 30 minute turn in Atl. Give it time, be pleasant, and the agents will list you easily. Now if the flight is full, it's full. Especially out out DFW (lots of DL folks commuting out of there, same with ATL to anywhere on DL). Pm me and I can check the loads if you want....trying to help.

You are able to list 6hrs in advance if for DL JS...Done it before between turns when I know I'll be trying later in the day

I have never had a problem just going to the gate. I just pulled off a three leg trip and the agents were more than helpful. I commute on Delta quite a bit. If you can stop by an empty ticket counter or cs counter if they aren't busy, they can list you too and it seems to make the boarding agents life a little easier

All in all it is painless, just show up an hour before if you can and use common sense and courtesy.

Stirrups and chaps will net the jumpseater a bonus bottle of Aquarius.

What I hear at least.

I've also heard splashing on a healthy ammount of Sex Panther really gets you kicked up high on the standby list with maybe even getting first class!. 60% of the time it works all the time!

Thanks for all the help and info everyone. It sounds like its going to be much easier then I thought!

You can find it on ebay.
True story, with names omitted to protect the guilty:

When I worked as an infosec intern at $LARGE_COMPANY in college, one of our servers just walked out of our datacenter. We had no idea where it had gone. This was before Location Services were ubiquitous and so on. It was assumed lost until someone called $LARGE_COMPANY saying "Hey! I just bought a server from eBay, and it came up with a $LARGE_COMPANY splash screen and still has $LARGE_COMPANY property tags installed." ($LARGE_COMPANY's hardware vendor gave us a custom splash screen.)

"Ohrly? Well. We have a few questions for you, and stay where you are, the cops are enroute."

I'll brush up on the Soviet National Anthem to appease the Russian sub commanders... errr... I mean Delta pilots..... It is an honor to sit in your jumpseat Comrade Kapitan!
Better than learning "Deutchland Uber Alles" to appease the sky nAAzis.

Be happy the JS exists for use. I remember pre-98 when the JS was not available for commuting for anyone on Delta jets.
