Yeah, they mentioned all the ways terrorist attacks have been stopped, but they forgot "luck." Anyone who has ever been outside the country realizes how useless the TSA is at protecting us. Personally I wish we could go to a more European system of actually having a conversation with someone before getting on a plane.
 
I do recall hearing that Endeavor Airlines was looking into Known Crew Member for their Dispatchers. Does anyone know what become of that?
 
Any time I have ever had issues with TSA accepting a company badge, I thank them and quietly walk to another checkpoint. I have never been stopped a second time. Once I just went to eat lunch and tried the same line. The very same TSA agent suddenly accepted my company badge. I know the SOP. I just need to find someone else who also knows it and not put anyone on the spot or in a position where they have to back up someone else.
 
I'm thankful for a positive career outlook and all the great people on here. The future is bright and I am blessed.

We didn't get it. We had a good approach, but the TSA would not concede. Then the uniform requirement was relaxed but I lost interest. PM me if you want to see the details of our attempt.
 
I just jumpseated on AA yesterday ORD-LAX and I was able to go thru the airline employee/crew security with no problems. This is the 2nd time in a week with no issues.
 
^^^^^^^ - maybe I should. Haha. The captain saw my badge and invited me down with the crew and the gate agent was great. Had 14 on standby and only 9 seats - gave me the jumpseated with no issues. It will only be a matter of time before I run into an issue I'm sure.

I'll see how LAX is tomorrow on my return to ORD.
 
Okay when I get back to ORD I'm buying a lotto ticket. LAX TSA was nice. Since I'm not KCM I had to go thru regular security, but they let me bypass the line to the front. At the gate the AA agent was very nice and since the flight was only half full, she gave me a row to myself! I wish jumpseating was always this easy!

I love this perk of the job as I can visit my 95 year old grandmother once a month and commute between IND and ORD. Now I'll let you know if I hit it big on the lottery!

Also, for those who commute (poor bastards) AA is allowing you to enter your TSA PreCheck number when you nonrev list on their online booking tool. So go spend the 85, or 100 to get Global Entry. When I had my TSA Pre Check interview in DC, the guy asks so what do you do as his first question. I told him I am a dispatcher and in CASS. He looked something up in my file said "Yes you are, interview is over, you're approved, you'll get your card in a week." So even when nonrevving on AA, I still get TSA PreCheck.

Best hundred bucks I've ever spent.

I was looking at this today, I'm curious if I told them I was taking the jumpseat, then show my badge and global entry card if I can use the crew line then, lol
