Effect of "pilot shortage" in frac/charter operators

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems as if 135 scheduled freight operators may offer a better quality of life since you have hard days off. Not saying freight is necessarily a career job, but short term it seems like less hassles and crap to deal with than a Iot of the stuff I keep hearing on 135 on demand outfits. Am I right or am I missing something?

With the exception of a few "choice" runs that maybe only run 4 days a week, or are out and backs or something of that nature, generally, QoL at many 135 freight outfits sucks because you usually work 5.5 days a week and get your rest at the outstation. If you can find a place with "out and backs" or one that has some other perks - then maybe, but many don't have it so good. When I flew freight in Oregon I had an absolutely awesome run. Left Monday afternoon, came back in the morning, did this M-F, then on Friday night, I came back and had a 3 day weekend. It was pretty great, but they paid me so little I could barely pay rent, so there's that.

Was this at a FedEx feeder?
