I'm so saddened to hear that news. Mitch was my instructor in the sim for many PC's. I always loved his enthusiasm. "We're getting 757's for Delta". I never met his son but I'm very sad to hear this. First Scott Martin, now Mitch Lucas. I remember one of my flights from SFO-PSP with Mitch Lucas Deadheading in the back of the plane. We normally got vectored to the south for 31L coming from the Big Bear area. Landing 13R was rare but occasionally did happen when the winds were calm. I think we crossed big bear around 14000' when we were cleared for the visual. We made it all the way down and landed 13R and I knew Mitch was going to come up to the front and give his welcomed comment about the 13R approach. He was always well dressed and reminded me of the Frank Sinatra era, especially since he was based on PSP. Good Guy.
