Replacing Telex 850 Earpads

They finally got worn out and I need to order some new ones. It might be a simple fix, but I can't find any videos or instructions on how to replace them. Anyone does this yet?

The best way to deal with a Telex 850 is to lift them gently over a trash can, then let go.

Second worst headset I've ever owned (the 750 is the first)

Just pull the old pads off. Grab a corner of the old ear pad and pull.

Get the new ones and start on one side, slide the ear pad over one part of the lip and continue working around until it's seated. Requires a little bit of stretching the new ear pad to get it seated, but not difficult. I just replaced mine last week, took about 3 minutes.

It's super easy. They fit over a plastic lip around the speaker portion of the headset.

Once I got the new earpad started, I think I used something like a toothpick to put under the edge to help get the earpad completely on the speaker.

Thanks guys, I just didn't want to damage them, or make it harder than what it really is.

Glad I saw this. Can you elaborate. Looking to get something smaller than the A20s for the regional life.

They're not even in the same ballpark as the A20. Clarity Alofts are good, the Bose with Ufly Mic is good. And I've heard, but never tried that the new Dave Clark ANRs are fantastic.

If your airline doesn't require TSO, check out the Quiet Technologies Halo. Best headset I've ever owned by far.

I love my A20's Just want something with the smaller frame like the telex of something similar.

But thanks I will have to check it out.
