Until just a year ago a lot didn't pay at all when in training.....elmetal said:until they have trouble getting new hires, nothing will change. PSA does per diem during new hire. why don't we? you're away from home and on company business. why we don't get per diem is beyond me. it's new hire abuse because we can. plain and simple
2 room suite for me... It's not like you're sharing a bed.Well I'm still shocked that SkyWest is double occupancy during training. Hell, even MESA does single rooms.
Some of SKW sims was a single room with two beds. Depended on city.trafficinsight said:2 room suite for me... It's not like you're sharing a bed. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
How is it sleeping while the sim is in motion? Or are the beds just there for the times when the sim is in maintenance? I think that's a great idea. I'm always dozing off in the cockpit anyway, so beds in a sim would be perfect. Some of SKW sims was a single room with two beds. Depended on city.
Lol I was referring the hotel accommodations.Blackhawk said:How is it sleeping while the sim is in motion? Or are the beds just there for the times when the sim is in maintenance? I think that's a great idea. I'm always dozing off in the cockpit anyway, so beds in a sim would be perfect.

Remember you can write off the difference paid and the gov allowance per city when on company business.
I've heard the same about CASS/KCM/non rev....FWIW @ Compass I was on mil leave for 5 months and I retained everything. So I just read on another site that SkyWest will remove all of your travel benefits (not just CASS) while you are on military leave after 30 days. Is this correct? Also, if I go on mil leave before I finish training, will I still accrue seniority? Again, I've heard the answer is no. Interestingly enough, I know several people who were called to duty before finishing training at other regionals and not only have they kept their benefits, they've accrued seniority the entire time. In fact, one of my friends has still not finished IOE and he's senior enough to hold captain!
If I put my seat all the way back I can stretch my legs all the way out...just.How is it sleeping while the sim is in motion? Or are the beds just there for the times when the sim is in maintenance?
