SWA can't find me in CASS.

I've been told by gate agents that my airline isn't in business anymore, shortly after they worked one of our flights.

"Skyway."

"You mean Skywest?"

"Nope, Skyway. It's 'Y6' in the computer"

"Skywest isn't Y6"

"My employer, Skyway, is! (nervous laugh)"

"That ain't Skywest"

"I work for Skyway!"

"Naw, you said Skywest".

So you're the reason for the id90 fun? ;)

If you're CPZ I had this exact same issue today with B6, fortunately they had plenty of seats in the back but it could have caused me to miss my flight for sure. Gotta figure out who to call but maybe it was a systemwide thing...

I've had this problem once before with B6 too. I have a very easy to spell/common name. So I think the 7 times that each gate agent attempted were probably sufficient. I made sure they used the top number, not the delta one. The weirdest thing is the same gate agent listed a CP guy ahead of me and right after me no problem. Just wasn't my lucky day.

How about a chief pilot since they have access to CASS.

I've had the same issue with SouthWest from time to time and was given a boarding pass that restricted me to the cabin only.
Other issue that I've had is that my CASS picture is different from my ID picture and some gate agents have had an issue with that. Not a big difference, but I guess us white dudes all look the same.

Ha. I had three different looks I was sporting for a while with my IDs. Airline ID had glasses, Driver's license had a bad goatee, and I was clean shaven with no glasses. I seriously expected TSA to punt me from the KCM line but they never did.

Ride a real airline.

At SWA you also have to get your base right when they ask. That was was an issue for me once. Could be an issue if you've changed recently.

Not sure but I was asked if I was ORD why was I trying to JS CAK-DEN. I was headed to SLC for training.

If I recall SWA has some sort of mega priority for their own pilots when they are jumpseating to their domicile. I'd guess that it's on the form because of that and they just ask everybody to so they can fill in all the boxes. A pilot's domicile is not stored in the CASS database so they'd have no way of knowing where an off line pilot is based. And I doubt an agent can see where a SWA pilot is based either, especially with their 1970s res system.
