Night in SEA area

I'm game but we might as well wait until Cessnaflyer can make it unless your gonna be here anyway. The following weekend works for me too.

You don't have to wait it might be awhile. My grandma had a stroke after my sisters wedding then passed on Monday.

Dry lightning started more fires in the area....No meet this weekend.

Don, I heard one was on the butte above Lakeside?

I'm in Wenatchee so it would be an extra leg out of Seattle but I have a pa28-180. I might be able to figure a way to let you use it if you'd let my nephew build time with you. He's a ppl and could use some XC time for his part 61 ifr. The plane is going in for an annual late July. Might be out mid August. Garmin 430 with dual ils but I've never flown it at night. Autopilots broke and the A/I leans a bit to the left. Just don't take it in the clouds. If you can make it work with your travel restrictions let me know. That plane needs to fly more.

Is it out yet? :> I got a class date with a certain airline that flies E-175s, and I need about 170 hours before class starts. My current job might be getting a little skinny on time, so I'm looking to at least supplement things...

$1k for the 150 or the 172?

Apparently it's a little too spendy.

Too spendy for him to get it insured to rent out, too spendy for you to pay what he's asking, or all of the above? Probably again too spendy but might check with TV or others at our company and see what it would take to rent that blue PA32.

Too spendy to pay the going rate... I'm way, way poor, and this is all going on credit before taking a regional job, so anything with three or more digits per hour is a non-starter for me. :/

Not familiar with TV or the PA32 in question... but just the fuel burn of a PA32 is probably as much as I can afford by itself.

Time building sucks. I'd rather get paid for it, but at the 2-3.5hrs flying I'm getting per day at the moment, it's getting sketchy time-wise. And obviously night ain't gonna happen at $current_company.

Sorry, just saw the post. Yeah, the fire started 2 miles from me and burned the whole mountain. I was on level 3 evacuation but only left when the power went out. Stayed in Wenatchee 36 hours and came back when my neighbor said the fire was out and power was on. The current fires are not near me and are not a threat. Great airshow on the first day, though, with the DC10, C130, Convair, and CL415 working the fire. The wind came up blowing towards town and once Chelan was threatened all the planes came. Still, the fire took out a fruit warehouse, a lumber company, and spotted across the Columbia river even. I'm just getting tired of the smoke.

It's out. I have a tentative deal to sell it to my cousin, though. His son has a PPL, has career aspirations, and it wouldn't hurt him to build time. Not sure the timing is good for the son as he works for an orchard and this is a busy time. Will talk with them on Monday. If you paid for the gas it would be essentially free safety pilot time for the son. I was talking to the father about how Alaska is a good place to get a start in the career and you'd be a good resource for him. No promises but I'll work on it. How much Cherokee time do you have and do you have a CFI?

Good to hear everything made it! How was it rounding up the cats to get out?

I'm a CFI, and I have about 161.5 hours in Cherokees, mostly in Archers, Warriors and a Cherokee 6.

Yeah we can do that. You're welcome to crash at my place as well when your here.
Ok ... I'll be in touch. I'm going to try to get as much as I can out of line ops, for obvious reasons, but as of today, I need 159-192 hours before my class date, 23 of which will need to be night (which I can't get here).

Am up in the PAC-NW 7-17 Sep (Seattle, Vancouver, Portland). Thinking to do a flight with Kenmore (intro vs sightseeing) thought it'd be more interesting.

If you need a spare pair of hands (or eyes) for flying, let me know, might be able to assist.

Alex.

I'm a CFI,CFII over here in Seattle area. Does your nephew still need some XC time? I'm sprinting towards my ATP minimums and need some hrs (Night as well) and could easily get over to EAT to fly with him..
