Second SkyWest pay package offer sent for membership ratification

From what I've read, it sounds better for the group. What's the sentiment on the line so far?
Thus far, I think the reaction is better.

The SAPA forums are their usual, well, something. (I live in the "real world," and I think that this is a lot better than the last proposal, which I very respectfully told The Man to keep.)

I agree but if you look we will make more with -700/900 flying as FO in the 2+ year then the 175. And we get better travel benefits. More should be done.
That was one huge problem when I transitioned to the 175 last year. Being limited to UA and US (is that still available now that AA is one company?) made non-rev travel difficult outside of jumpseating.

I rarely went on the forums! If anything, I went to check on the status of jumpseating on DL. Lol.... Waaaay too much complaining from my point of view.

Yeah, trying to be a sane voice of reason over there is like urinating into the wind and hoping you don't get splashed. It's largely a futile effort.

I'm going to vote yes. I'll be my normal, respectful, diffident yet firm self in encouraging others to do so, just as I was on the previous "NO" vote.

My soft time is paid at the E75 rate.

I get a LOT of soft time. (50 hours worth this month.)

Your soft time is paid at the CBR. Because CRJ.

It makes a difference.

Yes - and that's why this slightly curmudgeonly FO (possibly, soon-to-sit-on-the-left) is going to vote yes, even though he thinks he's worth more, he'll still take the money, the rules, and run with it.

It's a raise. The rules intrigue me (I can do a lot with one extra day off a month, too, in terms of stalking open time and taking advantage of the incentives presented for when we're below min staffing and let's face it we always are so the hell with it and if you can't figure out how to make money when we are short then you're a dullard!), the profit sharing is instant change, the most offensive language re: 401(k) vesting is gone as is the escape clause, and...well, it gets the likes of @JordanD out of poverty, and that's worth something to me, since he might have to sling my gear (sorry in advance my friend), and I want him rested and fed to keep me from effing it all up.

So yeah. I'll take it.

You don't think CRJ CA? Who knows, I might be slinging your gear on the CRJ. You still got that standing bid in for CRJ CA?

In response to pretty much all your remarks in this thread, I pretty much agree. The hourly rate increase may not be the best in the world (besides first year pay, obviously whats not to love about that...), but hell a nice bump in per diem, some better profit sharing, and a 4:1 TAFB trip rig. Those are some decent QOL improvements alone that I think will help with the MMMTO mantra.

I cannot be accused of not trying to get that captaincy...

Details, I'll worry about it all after I don't screw up in the schoolhouse :P

I'm still on the fence. While this is much improved over the last offer, I'm thinking there is still money left on the table. I think this is enough to sway the extra 10% of voters for the pass, but I digress. The hourly rate increase is a meager improvement over the last and the major QOL improvements don't kick in til October(MDG=4.2) and January(trip rig and 401k).

Silly question, but what software is that running on?
...ours.

Not to be an apologist, but:
(1) The trip rig and MDG adjustments will have an effect on pilot staffing, which has a longer lead time than just the stroke of a pen (remember that RMLV thinks "credit hours" in PBS).
(2) The 401(k) change is also non-trivial.

Yeah I get that, I'm just afraid there is just one more slightly better deal to be had. Maybe I'm wrong. I won't be disgusted if it passes like I would have on the last deal. Like I said, I'm still on the fence.
