No, she should write congress, petition the FAA, and get WAI involved. That's how our system works. Until then she's cleared direct CZI to continue doing her job as a professional. If you feel so strong about some thing you get it changed, you don't launch a one women/man protest in the cockpit.

However, the arrogance coming from a line 'put them in the penalty box' shows a lack of dynamic understanding of the real issues at hand that caused this change.

Thanks! I didn't see it as arrogant, I think @MikeD was saying the same thing in is own fighter/helicopter/A10 pilot sort of way. It's a different language. :)

Yup. Just do your job. To put it in language Seggy would understand "fly it and grieve it later." Or something to that effect.

Do your job. Don't eff things up for selfish personal reasons.
 
In truth, I'll bet the controller would laugh and clear me direct. Some of you guys need to lighten up.

Probably so. Don't know til you ask.

We had a guy file a flightplan in my old squadron back in the day, that he faxed to base operations, that had no routing attached to it. Just the aircraft, type, departure time, IFR, departure field, fuel on board, and in the remarks was written "radar vectors to Las Vegas please".

And never flying the HOKEE2. When you man up like that, you own your call sign. I can hear it now. I walk into the ATL crew room, a hush comes over the room, and all the guys from the old squadron yell, "hey look it's Candyass!" Rolling in 8 hrs behind schedule after 6.5 in the ROA penalty box. Stuff legends are made of. It's Mr Candyass to you @Seggy
