They suspect he had a fractured pelvis, he was likely hit by a car. They also said he was about 14 weeks old and only out of the nest for a couple of weeks and it takes them awhile to develop road sense. In 2-3 months he ought to be ready to be released in the wild.

Awesome job!!! Wonderful photos too. I love all creatures including birds- the ocean fowl especially, but I really like raptors. I am so glad he's going to be able to mend and be released back into the wild where he belongs. You gotta love a bird that can catch two fish at a time.

Allen and Company in SUN. Going to be crazy through the weekend. Only place I ever had to hold due to lack of parking. Most of the south ramp is Global's and Gulfstream's. And we're not talking about old G-2B's.
