Delta TA

Or just deal with the issues of having very junior 190 captains. Airways has made it work just fine and they aren't even "tier 1!!!".

Pilot compensation is a WAY smaller part of the big picture than we'd like to think it is. Although that's mostly because management is always telling us how much it effects things so we don't ask for too much of it.
I was going to say, what's wrong with having a junior Captain force? If anything, management should be all over that - makes the segments cheaper per hour. (Besides! You could be a SouthernJets Tier One Captain™®© within four years of your hire date or whatever, instead of waiting 22 years to do it like some acquired, not hired SJI pilots!) Plenty of "other" airlines drive around the E-Jet with suuuuuper junior guys and seem to do it safely, so...

If this process becomes too much of a headache with the pilots voting down the TA, is a possibility the Company might cancel the deal, drag negotiations out, and use the $1.1 billion to were giving to the pilots to buy used Airbuses or 717s.
To which one says, "so what?"

(Those aircraft would in turn be flown by SJI pilots under their current Industry Leading™ Contract 2012 rates...)

I can tell several people on this thread don't know the process of acquiring aircraft at an airline.

It's the lack of facts that is telling.

I'm just happy for trip7 in all of this. In the past he was told to "shut up" because he wasn't a delta pilot. Now he's being told to pipe down because he's a newbie. I guess on the next vote he'll be told to pipe down because he's "not a captain" or whatever other b.s. Reason someone can come up with because they disagree with his vote.

Actually guys on here could learn a lot from trip. For years all the bitter regional guys cried and whined about how much the job sucked. Meanwhile trip kept his head down, stayed positive, and kept flying. Now he's where everybody else wants to be. I don't think that is by dumb luck. His attitude got him there.

As Todd stated earlier, he dropped the Mike. I'm proud of you bro. Keep doing you, and as your company Moto states, "keep climbing!"

Appreciate the kind words! Glad my message of positivity, passion for your career, and hard work continues to inspire others. You're 100% right, it's all about your attitude.

Slowly but surely this negativity at JC will be eliminated. Angry Pilot Central is a lost cause :)

I disagree. He seems like a management kiss ass to me. No dawg in the fight but that's my take. Would like to see the profession shoot higher without being cowed by the management line. The carrot is rotten.

One minute I'm a management kiss ass, the next minute I'm a union kiss ass.

Actually I'm a kiss ass to Facts, Reality, and Common Sense. JC overall is slowly working it's way there:)

I know it's not what you're intending to say, but it is what you're saying for all intents and purposes. Sort of the opposite of the religious people who are very quick to thank God for everything good that happens to them but never think to get mad at God for all the bad things that happen to them. You can't have it both ways.
Did you just equate ALPA to God?

There you have it folks, ALPA is the all powerful being, don't question it!

It's especially true when it comes from an industry drop-out. How does one get FPL when they're not on a seniority list anymore?

I was really hoping there would be cat gifs by now.

So when is the vote up? For those of us watching from the sidelines.
