Stowaway found dead after falling from British Airways plane

Ever been to Jo-berg? It's a nasty place. Can't blame the guy for trying to get out of there. I'm gonna say most people that climb in to wheel wells are pretty desperate or not as smart as most of us. Especially when a lot of stowaways are coming from 3rd world countries and probably don't know jack about planes or altitude for that matter.
As a matter of fact, yes I have........

What a screwed up thing to say. Congratulations, Internet Tough Guy (TM)
You and I are in agreement about each other then.

Just thought someone with "dustoff" in their username might have some sympathy for someone who died, especially considering the circumstances they may have been in. Then again this is the internet and things get taken the wrong way all the time. I lol'd at your second reply though :)

You make an excellent point, perhaps I wrote in haste. I've seen to much of this but I do apologize for the crass manner in which my comment came across. I guess I should have also stated that hopping into a wheel well is akin to jumping in front of a truck and hoping you'll live through it knocking you into a neighboring country.

As @Derg stated, there are many in areas that take desperate steps to get out of their situation. I certainly meant no disrespect for the "victim's" plight.

The record free fall without a parachute is held by a Polish FA.
Back in the 70's a bomb went off and she went flying, literally, at 3-5-0.

Not at all true.

However, she does hold the record were the person survived.

Some Dustoff pilots transfer over from Cobra/Apache.

A very good friend of mine is a highly decorated combat medic. He's intelligent to know not everyone who dies of their own actions, is necessarily due any sympathy.

Well, yeah, but the headline read "stowaway found dead after falling from british airways plane". I feel like in this case it's not the horizontal miles but the vertical feet that need to be considered.
There are many instances of a passenger falling out of a plane at altitude and surviving. I was just watching an episode of Mayday (Air Crash Investigation) and a lady fell 3km after a midair and lived.

No sympathy for the "victim".

Tragic for the owner of the building he hit. Dragging wet snow off ones' roof and cleaning leaves our of the gutters is bad enough.

Seriously? I mean...seriously? You have no sympathy for someone who's life is so • that they are willing to gamble riding twelve hours in an airplane wheel-well? Dude, that's a •ed up thing to say.

I watched about 5 of them on youtube today whilst constantly falling asleep... I'll have to look back through my history to find out. I think it was about a turboprop crash somewhere down in south america.

I would agree with that statement is some cases, however I don't think that should be the case here.

No no, there's no reversal here. What you said was messed up, full stop. I don't need to pretend to lack basic empathy to point out how screwed up your attitude is. You even put "victim" in quotes in your "apology." You've got some things to sort out.
