Delta TA

Oh, you don't know the half of it. The "yes men" kept pointing to the pay rates and yelling, "LOOK AT THE MONEY!!" When asked about the QOL givebacks, the answer was, "BUT LOOK AT THE MONEY!!"
seriously?

I know APC is the vocal minority, but do you see it passing or not?

It'll pass. 60%-40% The VM will wail about recalls and DPA, and in the end nothing will come of it and Trip 7 will get his E190 left seat. Until the inevitable stagnation caused by the loss of international flying. But we'll get 'em next time in 2018!

guys are saying on the other site that the MEC is deleting all negative comments off the facebook page...even before the vote

There's alot of misinformation out there plus alot of bad math. Also alot of folks think they no better than Mike Donatelli or DALPA's professional negotiations and are sure the company will return to the table with more gains in short order. Once the MEC clears up the misinformation at the road shows I'm thinking it passes 65-35

Ok, what is the misinformation out there then? Details matter!

The TA is concessionary

The TA is cost neutral

We make more money on our current contract with profit sharing than with the TA with reduced profit sharing. (mathematically impossible)

The new sick call verification is a HPIAA violation (Some health records privacy law)

This (insert concession here) will cost xxx jobs

The JV will Park the widebody fleet

25 70-76ers are giving up scope again(smh)

I've said it once in this thread already, but:

sounds awfully familiar...

The TA is concessionary

There were major concessions made... BIG ONES.

We make more money on our current contract with profit sharing than with the TA with reduced profit sharing. (mathematically impossible)

correct here.

The new sick call verification is a HPIAA violation (Some health records privacy law)

I wasn't particularly upset with the sick deal. It's not good, either.

This (insert concession here) will cost xxx jobs

I was able to get specific numbers on a number of the concessions. This contract costs jobs, no question about it... and quite a few of them. (hundreds)

The JV will Park the widebody fleet

A cessna 172 flown by us is considered the same as an A380 in the new JV metric. In fact, since the 380 is so fast, they can fly their big planes even more. Do you not see the problem there?

25 70-76ers are giving up scope again(smh)

It's relaxing scope on large, long term viable aircraft. So yes, yes it is giving up scope. Not as bothersome as the massive amount that we gave up in 2012, though.

Don't forget the major concession that is the withholding of 75% of LCA trips from FOs. That affects every FO from the bottom of the list to number 1.
Also the move in the TLV- I asked a specific question on that. Just that small move costs just over 100 jobs.
